4 hikers were rescued today. They had been stranded 4 days, near the summit. You probably got them in your picture.doglegg wrote:Got a good view of Mt Rainier on our flight into Seattle. Always impressive.IMG_20190603_154030233.jpg

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
Cooking corn on the cob in a microwave is great.
Our oven is not very large, so I have to trim it enough to fit and rotate on the platter.
Leave in the husk.
Microwave on high for three to four minutes, depending on wattage.
Remove with an oven mitt, cut off the bottom and lift by the silk end and shake out a perfectly cooked corn cob with virtually no silks.
Be careful, though. I burned up a microwave doing that once, one cob after another.

Most folks stroll through their flower gardens in the day time however here at Starvation Plantation, Miss Joy has a flower that only blooms at night, a Night Blooming Cereus. Before dark she said I believe tonight we'll have a bloom. Sure enough when she took the dogs for a short walk she came back all excited about her flower!

He doesn't seem to pay the the birds any attention but she says she hasn't seen a chipmunk since he started.hanging around, which is tickling her to no end as they get in her flower pots and beds and generally being a nuisance.

The metal under the belly is the mount for the loader and a box for the hydraulic fluid. The tractor came with a snow and dirt bucket and a pump and hoses, but much of that was wishful thinking by a previous owner. It's all a little too heavy for the little tractor but it does beef up the waist that they tell me is a week point on the A's and it's great for standing on to pour gas in.___Dave
