Those are neat, seems like a great deal too.

The last time I was in eureka springs AR I was in a shop with fossils, rocks and other similar items and they had megalodon teeth that were just impressively huge. Were they not so pricey I would have picked one up, they were just so cool. The same shop also had an intact cave bear skeleton.

We're having a later than usual Spring. Plants that typically bloom as early as late February to mid-March are peaking now. Took these pictures yesterday.

A FEMA contractor made short work of my pile of storm debris from our yard. Took me 6 months to pile it up and they hauled it off in 4 loads in about 3 hours. The little red car is a "monitor", keeping track of the contractors loads. A local engineering firm is getting paid to do the monitoring.

Mumbley Peg, my Mom always kept Iris. She had some she got off her Dad's grave and when ever we moved she always took a start with her. I guess it was kind of a tradition back in the day. Thanks for sharing. ::tu::

Great pictures and color, Ken. Unfortunately, my yard isn't fenced...and planting anything like that, just becomes a garden salad for the deer :(

Doc, it takes a tall fence to keep out deer! We have them here too but I think the dogs keep them away from the house and garden/orchard. For whatever reason, they aren’t a problem. ::shrug::

Doglegg, the bluebonnets here are about done, but the Indian Paintbrush is peaking and it’s spectacular this year. Here’s a picture I took this afternoon of our south pasture. Click to enlarge for full effect. ::groove::

Beautiful, Ken.

God created the heavens and earth and all things, the seen and the unseen, in only six days. We stand in awe at the beauty and majesty and diversity of what He has done.

He's been working on and preparing the place He has for us for over two thousand years! We can't even begin to imagine what heaven is going to be like!!

Can't wait!
Take care and God bless,

Thanks for the pictures guys. Everything is just waking up around here from a loooonnng winter's nap. The only thing blooming are pussy willows, and the lilies are just poking their noses through the ground where it's not frozen yet. 20 miles South of here the trees are budding so Spring isn't far away. _____Dave

My "south" doesn't look like that. I wish it did. You could shoot 22s out there.

Indeed you can. And that’s a good direction to do it. There’s nothing but cows for at least 5 miles in that direction. Two large ranches (well over 1000 acres each). Of course you still have to take necessary precautions, as you never know who or what might be out and about. Unfortunately land developers/speculators now own both of them and nearly everything else around here.
