Will a Hobo pouch fit a wider knife than a Trapper pouch?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Will a Hobo pouch fit a wider knife than a Trapper pouch?

Post by Modern Slip Joints »

My Case Trapper pouches fit 3 blade Trappers and 2 blade Trappers with plump stag but not my 5 blade 6554 Trapper. Also, I have similar length many layered Swiss Army Knives and knives with very fat stag that I'd like to get in a leather pouch. I'm hopping Hobo pouches were made wider to accommodate the spoon which when folded is outside a Hobo's bone. The closest store that might have one to try is about 60 miles away and they do not carry separate pouches.

I have the slightly older 3 piece Case Slot knife (Hobo) and i have the Case sheath for it and it is fatter than any of the other sheaths. I cannot find the sheath right now so cannot take a picture.

Thank-you for the answer. I'll hunt down a Hobo pouch.
