Re: Green Bone Knives
Case Tested Scout or utility 6445 R I have a question about this one Great looking Knife . My concerns are no Shield . What is everyone thought . Nice Green Bone. Looks like the blade may have been welded on and knife cleaned or maybe a good knife ?

The lack of shield on a Tested 45 is common in my experience, so I would have no concern whatsoever about the lack of a shield.kennedy knives wrote:Case Tested Scout or utility 6445 R I have a question about this one Great looking Knife . I don't like the tang shoulder grind line. Also I don't like the looks of the word "CASE" in the tang mark. The "TESTED XX" part looks ok. However, many of the old stamps magnified to extreme levels will look suspicious

Larry's got a nice green bone or two, but can he top this?
Seriously, I have a single poor example, which I'll dig out and photograph in a day or two. It's light years behind Larry's in condition.

Tom that is an awesome pair!
I most certainly can't hold a candle to Larry and Tom's collections But I do have a few old Greenies. Here's one of my favorites. A 6151L
