Pictures would help. What is the closed length of the knife? Measure as well as you can.
And welcome to AAPK!

Spear blade is marked CASE with tail of C over TESTED XX punch? Blade is hollow, cap lifter blade has straight screwdriver blade can opener has 90 deg bend that folds into handle kinda like a thumb stud
Re: Case 1920-1940 scout
It sounds like you have a Case Scout/Utility knife from the Case Tested era, pattern 6445R. A great knife built like a tank.

Hi crockett, and

I agree some pictures would definitely help but aside from that, I'm not sure what it is you're asking. From your description I'm guessing your knife looks like this: Can you be more specific regarding what you're wanting to know about it?Crockett wrote:Main blade Case XX tested, punch blade, bottle opener with screwdriver, can opener with 90 deg bend that closes into notch in handle.pinned oval shield with pointed ends,C in case forms S in scout and top of T.nickel bolsters with straight lines on edge.bail on end.bone handles? Re: Case 1920-1940 scout
The "Tested" tang stamp puts it between 1920-1940 as you mentioned in your thread title.
As for value, that would come down to condition, quality of bone, quality of coloration, and (in the end) how much someone is willing to pay for that particular knife. The photos would definitely help narrow it down some, but ultimately it's hard to put a firm price on any collectible, much less an old knife. I'd guess you're looking at least around a couple hundred for one in such pristine condition as Ken's fantastic greenbone example (and I may be unwittingly low-balling it here, to boot).

Sorry but it's not my knife. I wish it was mine but it belongs to another member here. I just borrowed the picture from another thread in an attempt to confirm what the OP by Crocket was referring to.
Without any pictures of the knife in question it's impossible to estimate a value. Condition is everything!
