Re: WR Case E Toe
I have no idea. Don't even know if it's legit. It's been personalized on the shield which to me, diminishes it's collector value, but it also seems that a bunch of other people don't seem to care. It say there's 96 people watching it too. Very interesting. Where's Steve?

Re: WR Case E Toe
Made by C Platts for WR Case prior to 1905.Not that rare.I have owned several over the years. It is bringing somewhat more than I thought it would. It is in pretty good shape, but I rather not have the the initials.I know of one that brought $9500.It was the best I had ever seen whether stamped C Platts or W R Case and Sons.

I bet a good chunk of the 100 or so watching are like me; just curious as to what the thing sells for and with no real interest in spending that much on this knife.

Roger, really nice group of knives!
The stag handled example has beautiful old stag. Are the Platts examples the ones with the round shields with lettering?

Re: WR Case E Toe

Re: WR Case E Toe
I, too, love the Stag example! One of these days I will get one.
