The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.
Guy says its a new unsharpened knife ... I've NEVER seen a #47 with the sheepsfoot blade ground like this. I know we have some crack Case guys here that can substantiate or disprove this .... whats the general consensus - is this a factory grind ?? A sheepsfoot without the point seems pretty useless to me THanks -
Yep - I think the consensus is spot on ... somebody re-ground that sheepsfoot tip. I think the picture with it closed & that regrind tip sitting far proud of the frame confirms this - Case would never sell a knife with a sharpened point above the frame.
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee
