If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

::woot:: I never thru one of those when I was in the Navy , but I got the chance to throw a percussion gernade over the side in Danang Harbor in '70. That was a real blast......no pun intended. ftd

More likely for a horse drawn implement. Corn planter, sickle bar mower, cultivator, etc

My oldest sister, thirteen years my senior, used to joke she'd need one of those if she had a bicycle.

I almost bought her one a few years ago.

I've seen them turned into bar stools.

South Central Texas has benefited from soaking rain over the past week which has rejuvenated the plants from the heat of August. Sage and Rosemary handle the hot, dry weather well and the deer won't eat them. The bees were enjoying the flowers on the Rosemary and Sage today. Honey bees are plentiful here, but it has been quite a long time since I have seen a Bumble Bee. Acorns are falling from the Live Oaks and the deer feast on the acorns and don't mind coming close to the house to get them and will knock over a landscape light if it's in the way. :)

Some great pic's there. Like the bee's. Bumble bee's can sure leave a whelp. I saw a bunch eating a dead snake once. Did not know they were carnivore's. The rain has greened things up here around DFW as well. Like the flowers and the deer. ::nod:: ::nod::

Nice pics RalphAlsip. I can even see that honey bees eyes in the one pic which is closer than I would dare to get to any bee. :D

I happened to park near this Pontiac at one our local stores over the weekend. Novel use of nylon rope to hold the front bumper/under tray together don't you think?

Beautiful scenery Eustace. I am wondering if you have bears in those mountains. If yes, I might NOT be eager to explore one of those caves. ::paranoid::

A few years ago I was faced with a similar situation - the plastic air splitter & under cover was dragging after being abused by too many dips and speed bumps. I just loosened the remaining fasteners and ripped it clean off. At some point, you just have to decide that a missing piece is better than redneck engineering...

Found these three critters lurking outside the kitchen window, looking for a meal I suppose. ::hmm:: All females from the looks of them - will be laying eggs soon. Interesting how they change colors to camouflage with their background. I suspect they were green a few weeks ago. ::nod::

These are not exactly caves. These are tunnels that the river has dug in the rock and turned it into a rock bridge.
Otherwise, there are many bears in the Rhodope Mountains. But our bears are not aggressive and avoiding encounters with people. The attacks on people are extremely rare, and I only know of one death in the last 50 years. But due to a lack of food base there are many cases of attacks on domestic animals and apiaries.
