What is this IXL George wostenholm Sheffield England knife. Age

I found this knife while looking in a old barn.. I looked up name onnit and found out he was a knife maker in england.. Im in Illinois u.s.a .. I just want to know age and value. I love little trinkets liks this i collect them. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums! The knife in question is an ink eraser used to remove ink from parchment. Wostenholm knives are kind of hard to date but the word England in the stamping usually indicates a knife made after 1891 when imported knives were required to show the country of origin.Ink erasers were pretty much used up to the late 1930's and early 40's so that will give you a range of dating. I would say it was later rather than earlier.

Thank you. I am just starting in collecting and been reading up on him and his sons. This my first find. I do not i mean do not want to sale. But what would vaule be $30-40 sense i imagine alot where made during the time!

The handle is broke when i found it... I found this spoon to says TH. MARTHINSEN E.P.N.S NORWAY also

Too bad about the handle.If you want to replace it you might try looking for an old table knife with a composition or bone handle to modify to fit.
The E.P.N.S. on the spoon stands for Electro Plated Nickel Silver.Plated with silver;a common method on inexpensive tableware.
