Steve they feel surprisingly good both to hold and shoot. My wife with multiple health problems shoots one with no problem, as do my boys and our neighbors’ kids. That birdshead grip makes all the difference. The recoil is more like a rocking motion.steve99f wrote:I saw one of these at my local gun store for a something over 300 if memory serves. I was surprised how short it was in person. How does that feel in the hand when fired Colonel? Either load you used.
Neither of the loads I tested were bad at all. But neither of them were barn burner loads either. The #4 shot was 1255 fps and the buck was 2 3/4 low recoil loads from federal. Both were very enjoyable. I will say this though, if you’d shoot one, make sure to use the hand strap on the forearm. With a barrel that short you don’t want your hand accidentally slipping off and getting in front of the barrel.
