I added a couple more to my collection

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I added a couple more to my collection

Post by Meridian_Mike »

Well, I went to an artifact show Saturday and did pretty well in the pocket knife department. I came away with 2 more Cases to add to the Case family.
I got this Hawk Bill for $25....

And I got his Trapper cousin for $35.....

Doesn't looked like either one was ever used. The guy that sold me the Trapper said it had been in his drawer since the day he got it. I'll bet ya' he took it out of the box (and threw it away) before he came to the show.....

Good score Mike.
I could live without the Trapper box.
I do not have even one Hawk Bill (yet). That one's a real beauty. Lot of bone real estate there.
Your Case family will be happy ::nod::.

I grew-up on a farm in an area where there were a lot of vineyards. When picking grapes, the pickers (mostly immigrant farm workers) all used a fixed blade knife with a hawkbill blade. It was also, unfortunately, a fairly common and very wicked weapon used in the local bar fights.

Every time I see a hawkbill knife I'm reminded of that little tidbit of useless trivia...

Nice score!

It would be nice to find a few things 'round here.
South Jersey and eastern PA seem to be void of decent knives.
Take care and God bless,

This is the best I have been able to do in quite a while. Everybody around here has worn out knives they want NEW price for.

Yup. Won't keep me from the hunt, though!
