I used to date a girl in Yonkers that loves garlic, and anchovy white pizza. ::nod::

College kids today aren't all snowflakes. Here's my nephew helping work cattle. He's currently working on a masters degree in Farm and Ranch Management. He can (and will) do just about anything that needs to be done.

Thank you. He's a fine young man and we are indeed proud of him!

Ken, he's a lot better looking than me. And a lot younger.

As for my avatar, I did look somewhat like that in my younger days. That is a character named Skeezix from the comic strip Gasoline Alley. When I was a young'un my granddad thought I looked like him, so he nicknamed me "Skeezix". The picture is from a 1928 book called Skeezix Out West.

I loved Gasoline Alley when it was in our local paper. Been gone for years.

I knew your avatar looked familiar, and I knew it was an old comic character, but I had never seen Skeezix in western garb before.

Harvest had been delayed due to the huge amount of rain we got in the last couple weeks. Dry now and back to putting up silage.

Keith, are those Florida calves in the feed lot? I saw a figure recently by Florida dept. of Agriculture that 35% of Florida's calves are sold to Texas operations.
That's a big pile and some high dollar tractors playin' on the pile. ::tu::

The ones in the picture aren't but I do have about 5000 in the yard from Florida. Good cattle. The tractor is a 9570R, and they aren't cheap.

The old JD 4440 tractors are real workhorses. This one broke down but thankfully it was just a busted hydraulic hose.
