Case tested 06230?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I believe it is a 06230 1/2 that is reprofiled. However, to be sure it would be helpful to see a picture with the main blade closed. The Sheepfoot blade should sit high when closed (see picture below). It would be helpful to know if the main blade is short. If it is short then that supports the 06230 1/2 hypothesis.

It would also be helpful to know the closed length. The 30 pattern is 3 1/4" closed length. The 30 and the 45 look very similar.

Here are pictures of a 06230 SH and a 06230 1/2 for comparison.
