He was one funny dude. When I was a youngster we'd get together at my sister and brother-in-laws house and listen to his albums. good stuff.

I was introduced to Brother Dave in late (Nov. - Dec.) 1962 when I was going to Construction Electrician School on the Naval Seabee Base at Port Hueneme, CA. One of the fellas in our squad bay had a record player and two or three of Brother Dave's albums which he played quite frequently.

In the evenings in the fall of the year there are gatherings of birds by the thousands.This is along the Ohio River.They make one hell of alot of noise.These photos show a small amount of the total birds.

I guess that where all my birds are, I've fed birds for 35 years and I have fewer this fall than ever. Generally we have big groups of blackbirds like that but this year I've seen very few. The weather has been very dry and mild so far. I'm still dragging the hose around watering the bosses flowers.
