A good question.I used to tell people I collected knives but lately I have come to feel that I am an accumulator. My friend Bob used to be a knife dealer/collector in that he bought knives he liked but also ones that he knew other people would buy from him.I buy knives to keep with no thought of selling them.
Some of the symptoms are:
When you go shopping with your wife, the first place you head to in the store is the sporting goods department.
You navigate around town by the antique shops you know have knives in them.
You find it nearly impossible to drive by a flea market or yard sale without stopping.
The first place you go to on your computer is the "vintage knife" section of e-Bay.
Of the seven favorite spots you can book mark on e-Bay,all are knife related.
You find yourself fondling the knife in your pants pocket as you walk around.
If you exhibit even some of these symptoms, then I would wager that you are a certifiable knife nut and there is no cure.
