Wade,
I kinda' chuckled when I saw your 1st picture of the dog you call Blue. She is pretty talented to be able to keep her balance ::poke:: , :). Ol' Cuz will come by and straighten her up.

Rofl. Yep she's talented.

Seriously, she's a goofball. If any dog could stand sideways it'd be her. Lol.

Jerry she's helpin' - that's called moral encouragement! I've got a couple that do about the same. ::facepalm::

Took a couple of interesting pictures from the front porch this evening. Sitting out watching the sunset and found a surprise! ::woot::

Sneaky rascal was just a step off the front porch right under where the wife and I were standing! It was a big one. Those bushes it was under are about 3 feet apart, so guessing it was 5 or 6 feet long. Caught it, carried it out to the pasture and turned it loose. Smelled terrible though, once I caught it! Rat snakes emit an odor when disturbed - must be part of their defense mechanism. ::shrug::

Aww Dogg, that is so sad. These fellers are the truest friends that any man can have. I still can't talk about mine a year after she left me.

Gdog,
I understand completely. Been there and done that way too many times over the years. They become part of the family. It never gets easy.

Sorry dogg, that's a tough thing to have to do. Been there. The consolation is knowing you did the right thing, and the memories you have.

Sorry about your pup, Gdog. I'm sure his heart was in it, just the rest of him couldn't keep up no more.

Beautiful dog. I know he gave you years of companionship, love and devotion.

We've lost three dogs during our forty-six year marriage. We've waited years before getting another and we've gotten one right away, within a week.

I highly recommend getting another dog right away.

It isn't disrespectful to Gunner and it will not diminish the hurt, but it does fill that need us "dog people" have in our make-up.

A new pup will thrill your soul, occupy your mind and time and give you the companionship, love and devotion you crave.

It won't be Gunner. It will be a totally different canine personality and your love for it will be just as strong.

It truly hoovers to lose a dog. I cut a bunch of onions when Axel died. And when we had Muffin put down. Not quite so much when Bart was tore up and we shot him.

on a completely different subject
