Large Case M.O.P.

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

That's a fine looking set you have there, XX & mgdel ::tu::

I have a 2002 MOP Seahorse, but unfortunately, with a different shield.

Q, that seahorse is a real beauty. The more I look at them, the more I like them. I'm a big fan of M.O.P. and abalone handled knives. I just think they are cool. Thanks for posting that picture. I have been to Hawaii twice so far, but never to the big island. The three that I've been to did'n't seem to have any places to buy knives!! Lol. I guess you have a secret spot!!!! Mike.

In the cracks of eBay, labeled "case knife" complete luck finding it, $500 ouch

I only need the tiny hunter and baby Butterbean to finish the set.

It's been a rough week, found two pre ban Ivory case knives I couldn't pass on and a mammoth slimlock.

I've got a 3-1/4 inch #079 in my pocket right now - small MOP sleeveboard. Really nice thin knife to carry when wearing dress pants. Perfect "during the week" knife for me ... weekends is when the larger stockmen, jacks and Saddlehorn get the call ...

Question for the Case guys - did Case ever make that #079 pattern with conventional bone or stag sides ? I love the MOP, but can't find any reference to a model number with bone or stag to search eBay for one.
