If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

The axiom in banjo circles is, "If your wife is hummming the songs after you've practiced, you're doing OK".

Carmillus, take that as a negative sign. ::tu:: :D

We don't know who the daddy was for the mother of those pups. She is sort of a semi lab but mostly a hound.
We don't know who was the daddy of these pups either. But based on the last batch of which we kept two of they will be medium sized. Some longer hair than others. Everything from almost no tail to a full length tail.
And three of them are blond hair. Several brown or goldish and one dark brown.

Bless you Dave! We just sold a littler of English Shepherds (old type farm shepherds) and have another litter right now about 11 days old. Only have 2 of this present litter sold right now. But I did keep a Black and Tan female out of the last litter.

Here's this litter and their momma. The daddy is Black and Tan and weighs 75 lbs. The momma is about 40 lbs. She herds the chickens, digs moles, keeps the rabbits out of the garden, and trees squirrels and possums, and keeps varmints out of the chicken coup.

Thanks! Between me and the wife, I'm the worst about wanting to keep them all. I'd rather work with a pup than just about anything. I'm a big softy when it comes to pups.

We have ten dogs and ten puppies. We darn sure don't need any more.
However one of the older dogs has a miserable life. And grouchy as all get out because of it.
Another attacks other dogs pretty regularly.
Them two ain't gonna be around forever.....

I was going through some stuff last weekend and came across these. Back when my son was in scouts, I was a cub scout den leader and asst. cubmaster. I guess I had a thing for neckerchief slides, and used to make them for myself and also as projects with the boys.

The Santa started out as a walnut shell

These 2 are my personal favorites. I made a little axe for one, the backing loop fell off. The bowie knife was pretty much made from scratch, with horn handles and everything, LOL.

Those are cool Glenn, I'm sure they immediately bring back fond moments. I have storage bins filled with Scouting memorabilia when my sons were in Scouting, when I was in Scouting, when my father was in Scouting and when my Grandfather was in Scouting - just can't thin that herd for some reason.

Bitterly cold here last night--dropped all the way down to 68 deg. F! But that didn't discourage these impatiens from adding a touch of color to the "chilly" morning.

There is a new quarter just available that features Garden Of The Gods in Southern Illinois' Shawnee National Forest. Unless you are from the area you probably wouldn't expect Illinois to have a landscape that looks like this.
