Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Besides some patina the knife is as new , snap is great .

That's a good looking 72. Main looks full. How's the snap?

Nice Camillus72 (seening your name is ScoutKnife I added this bit of information. You might already have one in your collection)
They made a boy scout knife with bone handle. It has Boy Scout Whittler etched on the blade, does not have number or shield
Only one of the two knives in the picture has the etch left on the blade.

I think we can safely say it's a #42 Senator.

Out of the 1965 catalog.

First one of those I've seen, Vit. Very nice. Where do you find all these old Camillus knives in such pristine condition?

The oldest, [2nd from top] I believe, and my favorite [maybe] :) is the 3 pin one.
It has file work top and bottom from the factory.

I'm thinking that one will be a long line. I've got rid of all but one of my delrin 69's, I have one that'll stay, and three in bone. I've only see nine with a short line stamp and I own it. They're kind of rare in my experience.

Great knives producer. I love those 69's.

It's Delrin® Tommy. Note the Delrin® haze in the pits of the jigging. It's pre-1976 and post late '60s. They stopped pinning the handles in about 1976 and went to the molded post method of attaching the handles.
