Looks like your only option may be to fly to their head office and camp outside the front door then personally confront everyone who shows up for work and continue to harass and badger them until they realize that the only way they're going to get rid of you is to grant total unrestricted access to their secret, hidden archives (and I would suggest you also demand that they provide a personal assistant and insist on catered meals for as long as it takes to get the answers you seek) This is obviously far too important to allow them to dismiss you with the bum's rush brush off. ::sneaky:: ::stir::
::poke:: ::smack::

Oh, and by the way...here's a picture of my best friend and most loyal companion for the last 11 years. 50% AKC German Shepherd (Mother) 25% Akita, 25% Chow Chow (Father). Best guard dog ever.

Wish everyone could have as loyal a companion as this furry little beast is.

Cheers & Aloha,

I was out in the back pasture today grubbing persimmon sprouts and turned up a curious item. Have no idea what it is or how it got there. It's stamped UL so my guess is it's something electrical. The only other makings are what looks like 10TY or 10YY on one of the flanges. The body/frame is metal, probably steel but the frame isn't rusted so may be aluminum (but it feels heavy for aluminum) and the four studs appear to be insulated from the frame. Two studs have white centers and two are blue. They all have threads on both sides and the "nuts" are rubber. I'm guessing it's some kind of insulator, but if do, for what? Anyone know what it is?

w/ the 2 side things w/ screws being ground connections.....

Thanks Josh. Now that you mention it, it does look like it could have something to do with coax. never seen a splitter like it though. Splitters have an input and two or more outputs. This thing doesn't appear to be configured that way. Can't figure out what the rubber "nuts" that are screwed onto the threads would be for either. ::shrug:: If it's for coax, I guess the cows (or the coyotes) have been watching TV in the pasture. There's not a pole or a building within over a quarter mile of where I found it. :lol:

to me it looks like the kind they use on poleS round here for cable/satellite.......the 4 lines would come in from 4 homes into that.....mounted up on pole.....those lines being long and different lengths to reach it on pole......then from there the 4 jump to a box on pole...so not really a SPLITTER but a GROUNDED JUNCTION BOX,SO TA SAY.......... :mrgreen:

the rubber nuts would keep rain/weather out of connection....... ::tu::

again I THINK. ::super_happy:: ::handshake::

Josh is correct. It is a ground block for CATV. When your CATV lines come from the pole and then down the side of your house, they hit this block, then the lines continue on inside the house. There is usually a ground wire tied to the block. The rubber nubs are simply seals that go around the CATV connector when it is screwed on, to keep water and moisture out.

I am used to seeing these as singles, perhaps this version is for a multi-tenant building.

Thanks guys! ::tu:: Now you've really got me curious as to how it got there. There's no CATV within miles of here. I think Jerry may be onto something! :lol:

I'm tellin' ya. ::uc:: They're among us. Where do you think Howard Cosell came from?

Edit: Googled "ground block for CATV images" and got this:

Nice lot of lures

I decided to build a chest of drawer to hold some of my knives.
It's 4' high x 2' wide x 1' deep foot .
It was first attempt at make something like this.
The only thing wrong is I had enough knives to fill it. :D
