Some of you will remember the last confrontation I had with this seller. I tried to reason with him and even tried to learn from him. :evil: He never responded to my last request to learn the truth. He instead waits until he thinks the heat is off and pops up again. ::huff::

Any way, I hope that some of you can look at this and spot it as a fake fairly easy, Tidioute NEVER USED TC CO and gosh even my dog could do a better job of stamping than that. :mrgreen:


This only stands to ruin the hobby when one presents such stuff as original. :evil:

Isn't it odd that the blade doesn't even fit in the handle. The tip is sticking out on this FLAWLESS knife

Didn't have to sharpen it after he reduced the blades by 25%.

This is a special breed of thief, down right in your face lie to his own moma kind of guy!

Hi PA . Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is a disgrace. Here is a question for collectors.... I know counterfeits will be found wherever money is to be made but it seems to me that counterfeits are more prevalent with knives than many other types of collectibles. A) do you think this is an accurate perception B) if so, why is this the case?

Can you give me more details of what is meant by that statement? Assume I don't know what you're are talking about. ('Cause I don't.) (And I'm not questioning the truth of the statement or your expertise!)

Thanks in advance for the schooling...I'm learning a lot from these threads.

Even I could tell the stamping looked wrong.

Thanks, muskratman! "Way screwy" That's great!

So he took some kind of grinding wheel to the blades. Why would he do that? To take rust off?

He ground the the heck out of the blade, leaving it looking like a nail file. Then buffed the snot out of the blade to make the grooves look "better".

Am I getting it?

Once again, thanks for putting up with my lack of knowledge.

Pa, I have been wanting some of this stuff you worte you book on. I have been reading your book hoping to be able to tell what is real and what is not. It is getting harder to tell, and the longer I do this the more I realize there are many counterfeiters out to take your money. Some that was a surprise to me.

Down towards the botton of the listing page there is a link to report such as this. I started to do it but since I am much less that an expert on PA knives, I thought you might want to. It would be interesting to see what Ebay might, or might not, do.

Oh, Great.....Now you tell me ! I guess I shoulda joined here sooner, I put a bid on his Wolfretz about 15 minutes after it was listed. At least it wasn't a lot. Just like to mark things, like the dog does to the tree.

I bought two knives from this seller back when I was dumber than I am now. Both had major modifications (replaced handle etc.) even though they were described as mint or near mint. I didn't even recognize the modifications at the time. I don't even study his knives anymore, I just note his seller's ID and move on.

A word to the wise is sufficient.
