Leg Knife - Case Bros Little Valley

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Leg Knife - Case Bros Little Valley

Hello Folks. I found this knife yesterday and was wondering if it has any collector value? I like it no matter what but I am curious since it's a really early Case version. The entire length of the knife is 3 & 3/16" from bolster to tip of the shoe/leg.

I wasn't sure what the pattern was called until I found the list on this site (thank you for that information). Leg knife, that makes sense. lol

Anyway, the main blade is broken but the marked blade isn't broken although it looks like it was sharpened many times. You can still make out the "XX" on that blade also.

I would appreciate any opinions of it's value as it is. I thank you kindly in advance and best regards to all. Paul :)

Your knife would be good to have if someone didnt have that stamp. As far as collector value, very minimal.
The condition is so important with a vintage knife. Unfortunately the previous owners rode this one really hard.
