Hepl with this old Case Knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Hepl with this old Case Knife

Post by just bob »

Saw this at the knife club this evening and trying to get some information for the owner. About 3 1/2" long with a long bolster on opposite ends of the knife front and back. Big blade is stamped Case Bros. Blade at each end. Thought one of the blades had Case Tested in a circle but can't tell from the pics. Taken with a cell phone so much of the up close detail is missing. Can anyone pick up the pattern number or other info? Thanks

Looks like it was modified at some point with the addition to the bolster. c. 1900-1912. I'd say it's a HOK. Just has seen many years of use and the mod to the bolster.
