Case switchblade number question

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case switchblade number question

Post by Frank Davis »

I have an old Case switchblade that I cannot identify as to the model and era....The numbers are unfamiliar to me...blade stamp starts with an "H" (H1211 1/2)....the reverse of this old knife has the Case stamp, but almost non-readable (the letters "C" and "E" is all I can make out)....any clues?.....the handle is discolored and the spring is missing......Thanks, Frank.
