My old Case Knives

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

My old Case Knives

Post by whitesell knives »

HI everyone, I am new to the Case forum of AAPK. I collect many different knives, including a quite a few Case from 90's-20's that I bought new, and most never carried. I now have more interest in the older Case knives. So here are the very few that I have, I do have 2 more not shown here, that will be restored later.
The last two photos are the same knife, but has odd handles. This knife came from the factory this way, I know because my cousin bought it in the 1950's and never had any work done on it, he said it was that way out of the display case. Does anyone know what that bone color was called, the dark side needs repair.

That's Case's good old Red Bone on the Barlow Dale. Case never was too picky about matching up the color from one side to the other. It looks like one scale just took the dye a bit better than the other.

Thanks guys, I am proud of them, and the Barlow most of all, because of who I got it from.

Thanks for sharing. I particularly like that larger spear/pen jack.

That knife has never been sharpened, I don't think it has been carried. I bought it from a lady, who's husband had died. She said he would buy a knife from a local hardware store from time to time and just put them up, had done that for years. She had more, all CaseXX and CaseXX USA, but I couldn't give her what I thought they were all worth, so I got the one that I liked best.
