6235 1/2 Jack
Been looking for this pattern in a nine dot for a long time. Found one that looked right and boy am I glad I didn't let it get away! Even better in person. This one is likely to earn a consistent spot in the carry rotation---we were born the same year.

Nice 35 1/2
I'm more of a seven dot guy for the same reason as you.

I'm a 4 dot myself! That is one fine looking Case!

Re: 6235 1/2 Jack
I'm a XX'er too Harold. I recently bought a 35 1/2 (197?) with full blades, but it had Delrin handles on it. Since the blades show the results of not being stored properly, I decided to change it out to a nice chestnut bone so it would make someone a nice user. Since I'm a Whittler kind of guy, I won't be carrying it, so it will probably end up in the "For Sale (or trade)" section sooner or later. They seem to be built like a tank though. Every one I've touched has had great snap and you can feel how solid they are as soon as you pick one up. It's easy to see why they are a preferred EDC.

I'll bet most of us "dot age" guys have something in common, though...we had an XX'er that helped us gain an appreciation for knives/tools/guns/cars of bygone days. When I was a kid my dad's Kennedy toolbox contained three of those Case jacks in rough black, all were used hard and one of them I claimed as my own at about 10 and broke the main blade off "fixing" something. Last time I looked it was still in that toolbox.

Nice knife and a pattern I enjoyed for a long time. I still have the 6235 1/2 XX from the old Case factory board, a neat piece of history.
