Robert, there really isn't any closing "snap" on the 42LB pattern. It doesn't have a conventional backspring and uses a completely different mechanism that has very little spring tension/resistance. That's why they open so easily for us older guys with arthritic digits.![]()

Fantastic knives all! Every one of them!
Picked up a few myself but no pics yet... A couple Vipers in smooth white bone and one in Blackwood and a #42 in American Chestnut (that aint here yet). GEC turning out some awesome stuff the last few weeks especially!

I would like the cut out on the top of the saw to be sharp so I can use it to strip wires.
