I have always liked the 4" Schrade knives. My EDU is the same old 881 I have been using since 1973.Producer wrote:Another 8OT.
Got it for reasonble $ and it cleaned up pretty good.
edit. sorry if this is in the wrong thread, please move to another if appropriate.

My son has used and broken about 4 or 5 Schrade 8OT's, and is now using a Buck 301... KG.

No box, don't have any of the others. You probably all ready know this but for a bit of history I'll tell you anyway glenbad.glennbad wrote:Nice revere! Did it come with the box? Do you have the other 2 in the set?
This set is not as sexy as some of these knives in bone and such, but I like the subject material and the etches.

I've seen that one before in a Schrade Walden NY USA. I had one once upon a time. The one I had did not have anything stamped on the back tang of the master blade.tongueriver wrote:Here is an odd one. It is shown in the 1926 catalog as 8583, but no trace of it in any Schrade Walden catalog, although SW certainly did make this one. The "U.S.A." in the tang stamp suggests that it was NOT made right after 1946. On the pile side of the master spear blade is tang-stamped 0302. Complete mystery there. There is the remnant of a faint etch ??ADY JR. on the spear blade. It is 3 3/8 inches long and still in tip top condition except for the patina/micropitting. I like it.
