looking for some help with a case , age and worth

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

if I.m seeing this right it appears to be an open c with the a and s being tall which would make this a 1940-1964 date

For the great unwashed, like me, can you point out some of the things that indicate that it is a fake?

First thing that hit my untrained eye was the brushed blades. I'm sure there is quite a bit more.

Ax, here's a Tested version of the same knife I picked up many years ago . Has all the various "qualities" of that one. I'm sure there are others here who have similar "gems". Slim

Yep fellas, as fake as you can get. I was embarrased to open all the blades, one if the pen blades is convex on one side and hollow ground on the other. Sorta like maybe a spoon pen. But heck, everybody knows a Tested congress can be worth thousands ::facepalm:: I've learned some since then.Slim
