German maker ?
I haven't been able to figure out the maker on this one. The tang has "Theo (?) Cutlery Co. -- Germany." Thanks for any help.

Bump
Ok got the knife and made out some of the tang stamp. BTW both blades are marked and the knife is very well made. H F ? J Dixon Cutlery Company c,1920. Any info will be great.
The pearl is real nice and the file work on the bolster is very well done. It is a great old German knife but that is all I know.

Re: German maker ?
That particular style of filework was peculiar to inexpensive German made knives in the 1930's.I have several by various makers. Most are pearl but I have one that is I believe bone. Here are a few of mine.Sorry I don't have individual pics.
They are: Argyle Cut.;F.A.Koch;Howes Cut.;W inside a diamond;and Wilson Bros.Sheffield.

Re: German maker ?
Sometimes Germany helps produce blades or handle assemblies because it was more affordable and helped France fill large orders. Some French makers order metal to make orders one run at a time upon request and don't warehouse at all. Takes a little longer but saves them money.
