It's a pity to hear this.

I have a 1984 (?) stag sowbelly - it is lovely. Recently I just missed a later version of the same knife (in buffalo, with a spey rather than wharncliffe) This annoyed me no end, and it was then that I realised that the Bulldog sowbelly, is probably one of my favourite ever knives.

Great shame, if there has been a drifting of standards.

Hello noddy,

Welcome to AAPK glad to hear your experiences, the standards may have drifted a little but there's plenty to pick from on the earlier generations. Hopefully it's just a glitch in the maturing of the brand... 8)

Take care,

Noddy,
Welcome aboard.
It is great to have another member from the UK. If you start posting pictures like S-K's, I may have to go to the to find some great old knives!

Again ::welcome::
