JR: Besides its personal value to you, I'd be surprised if that toy was not a very valuable collectible. Something to treasure for sure.

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
We went for a ride a few years ago when we were down in the Dominican Republic on vacation. The guy took one look at me and said, "I must give you my largest horse."
It felt awfully high up in that saddle but of course the last time I had ridden before that was 1964 when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss. We would go out to Hueco Tanks State Park and ride. That's been a while back.

The weather finally got cold and may stay that way for a week or more, so I took the opportunity to make some "ice globes". Basically, these are just water balloons left outside to freeze. The tricky part is to not let the center freeze so you end up with a hollow shell suitable for putting a candle in. Ought to look cool (pun intended) at night. The first one was pretty good, but I want the walls to be a little thicker on the second one, the one with the green balloon still around it. The knife is included for scale.

Rustle47,
Now that's kinda' interestin' to an ol' Florida boy! We're fortunate for the dog's water to freeze once or twice a year!
Just how do you keep the center from freezing, just in case it ever get cold here again? Treefarmer
ps: it's 80 degrees right now and we've got 6 weeks of deer season left

Treefarmer,
The balloon is sitting in a bowl for support, and the bowl is sitting on a 1/2" pc of styrofoam for insulation. The globe freezes from the outside in, and the styrofoam helps keep the bottom open long enough for a good shell to form. I just opened the 2nd one an hour ago. The bottom had almost froze shut but a lot of water still rushed out when I cut the balloon.
Boy, 80 degrees sure sounds good about now with or without deer hunting.

OK, I like knives but sometimes I run out knives to take pics of. While I'm waiting for more knives to come around, I've got to take pics of something so here are some of my efforts. The white background ones are overexposed to make the white whiter and the sunrise is underexposed to bring out the colors. All have been "photoshopped" to some extent.

Picked this up at the fleamarket today for $.99. Thought it was kinda neat. Box is a bit ragged, but tool looks to be unused. I'm thinking probably 50's-60's? Wonder if it was previously owned by Wylie Coyote?

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
Here's just a few of the WB's i've collected over the years. Some are carved stone, others are hand painted ceramic that my mom and sister did for me. Some of the others are novelty items and others are older hand carved folk art. There's even one that's from an old school fund raising beanbag game. Also a coffee cup and a pair of ceramic cabinet knobs. And not to be left out, my David Yellowhorse White Buffalo Trapper.
Looks like they could all use a good cleaning.

Cool collectables WB! If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to collect white buffalo items? Anything particular, or you just plain like them?... Just curioius.
