Sarah's uncle had a dog, much like that one only darker, that used to look at bumble bees just like that....then he would chomp 'em. Never saw him get stung.

I found these rusty M Klein pliers at an estate sale today.

They cleaned up nicely!

Cool stamp on the back, a bit work but cool!

I think these are lineman's pliers.

You are right Dave!
I haven't checked the price on these pliers yet, but I bet the current version is in the $35+ range here locally. Not bad for $3. ::shrug::

Thank you for the kind words, Johnnie. Those little, but time consuming projects really satisfying.

Not to be too bold here, but the box is sitting on a plant stand I made a few years ago with hand made peened copper nails.

Thanks.

Joe -- Very nice. Are the copper nails structural or decorative only?

That sounds about right Perry. I did find the new 9 in. version for $34.95 on the M. Klein & Sons website.

Joe, those hand made peened copper nails really add a designer touch to that plant stand. ::tu::
I am curious too if they are structural or decorative?

Some new old thing I picked up yesterday at the flea market; an old fashioned tack puller.
Pretty cool I thought & functional as well! 8)

Johnnie, Jerry, and Dale, thanks for the response.
The nails are entirely structural.
I took pictures of a larger stand to show the nails and rivets a little better.
The nails were a problem at first. I was trying to sink a round copper "nail", actually, copper wire, into a accuratly sized predrilled hole.
It wouldn't hold in my trial pieces. I shrunk the hole size and hammered the wire square so the corners would take purchase of the predrilled hole. Sheese! Like the guy said when they built the Brooklyn Bridge; "All this just to get to Brooklyn".

I can't let my Wife see this...or She will be coming home with copper wire and putting me to work. ::facepalm::

Looks like Harbor Freight to me but what the heck, it'll hold knives and look pretty decent while doing it.
