Today while doing a high voltage splice thru armored cable and Yes it was my fault I broke the tip off my Buck quickfire My question is how would you go about reprofiling this blade???
I would call them, tell them I broke the tip and ask them how much they would charge you to replace it.
I expect they will tell you to send it in and fix it for free, but they may charge you a very reasonable fee, but I doubt it.
dogg - Check your other thread on this subject. They charge $10 for blade replacement. I recently checked on it and sent one for repair. PM your email address and I'll send a copy of the email I got back from them.

If youre determined to reprofile the blade, start by grinding the back of the blade first. It's flat, so the contour is easy to follow and it's also a better way to determine the length before you tackle the edge. Etching it out in pencil usually helps too.
WELL I did it it's a tool pouch knife anyway but I did what I wanted to do which is to beef up the tip, this was fun I can see myself doing this for the guys in the trade when i'm retired but it was scary starting to hit the blade with a wet grinder.I used a Camillus Cubscout knife to etch out the blade tip(thanx Elvis)
