I don't know how much .357 you shoot,

Not much. When you live in town, especially in a state with gun laws as restrictive as those for Illinois, you don't get much chance to shoot unless you know someone with some acreage or can afford to belong to a gun club. This is my second Mod. 19 (sold the first one in the mid-'80s) and I don't remember if I've even put a round through it since I bought it. My shooting experience was with the first one and I didn't put a ton of ammo through it.

It's called a Last, not an Anvil, it is used in both making shoes and repairing them in the cobbling trade.

Yours looks to have been made around 1900-1930`s

I have another one somewhere and the stand that holds it.
I wonder if anyone collects these things?
I would be open to trading it for something sharp.

Somebody posted an old, brass railroad key a while back. I had put these up but thought they might be worth showing. The old locks were buried. I found them with my metal detector. I got all 3 cleaned up and they actually still work great.

Left...Both shackle and steel key are stamped "T&P RR(Texas and Pacific)". Lock was made by Yale...

Center...Front of shackle is stamped "MO PAC(Missouri- Pacific)SWITCH". Back of shackle is stamped "fraim". Back of lock body is stamped, Pat./ Mar.5,/ 1929. Brass key is stamped "MOPAC".

Right...Front of shacle is stamped, "MOPAC RR". Back of shackle is stamped "SWITCH" and "1934". Badly worn brass key with RR stamped in it.

Of course the keys weren't found with the locks. The whole bunch of keys belonged to my Wife's Grandpaw that was an old railroader...
