Be Careful of folks with their lights off..

I cannot verify this and it may be some exotic internet hoax but I can say that this came from a family member in law enforcement who is taking this serious..

DON'T FLASH HEADLIGHTS AT ANY CAR WITH NO LIGHTS ON!!

Police officers working with the DARE program have issued this Warning: If you are driving
after dark and see and on-coming car with no headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM!

This is a common "Bloods" member "initiation game" that goes like this: The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights, and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target.".

He is now required to turn around and chase and spot that car, then shoot and kill every individual
in the e vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements. Police Depts across the nation
are being warned.

Their intent is to have all the new bloods nationwide drive around on Friday and Saturday
nights with their headlights off. In order to be accepted into the gang, they have to shoot and
kill all individuals in the first auto that does a courtesy flash to warn them that their lights are off.

Make sure you share this information with all the drivers in your family! Please forward this
message to all your friends and family members to inform them about his initiation ritual.

Sunburst, I live over here in Los Angeles, the original home of the

Bloods and the Crips and this story has been circulating around here for

probably a good 5 years or more I think the story is a total Urban

Legend. IMHO. ::blah::

I don't think that would be a wise thing to do here in Tucson,everyone I know either has one strapped on or between the seats!!

There was a mass emailing about this 3 - 4 years ago where I live in CA. Later there was a report in the local paper that this was just a rumor or urban legend. The police had so many calls on this that they requested that the local radio shows and newspaper shoot down the rumors. It wasted to much time from thier already busy schedule, so they held a press conference. It is now one of those old wives tails these days around here.

I used to live in So. Cal, and I have been out of there for 12 years; and THAT same story was going around when I lived there then!
