I've been workin' on this one off and on for a few months; still not quite finished, but it's startin' to look like somethin'.

Ahhh...CASE, very nice! It kinda looked like a stag GEC #56 in yer first post...my eyes ain't too good anymore ::dang::

...And yer RIGHT! ... I feller can't have enough tools!!! Nice workbench...How do you like yer Henry Taylor tools? Edge retention good on those?

Thanks guys! :) :oops: :) I appreciate all of your comments!

Joe, if you look at the third and fifth picts, you can see some of the carving tools I used. They consist of about a dozen different knives, gouges, scorps and veiner tools. I discovered I could have used a couple more that I don't have to reach some difficult areas. ::shrug:: They all need to be kept very sharp by frequent stropping.

Don, the Henry Taylor tools I picked up at a garage sale. They were all quite dull and I had to reprofile the edge bevels. They are sharp now and seem to hold an edge OK so far, probably not as good as some but better than others. ::shrug::
