Re: boker double tree?
The only time I've seen the double tree tang stamp was on a special knife series that was made in 2006. The doubletree series of knives were all in exotic handle materials and fancy bolsters.

Your knife pictured looks like a 9885 stockman pattern with imitation tortoise handle with a 140 JAHRE shield. That would have been made in 2009. But I've never seen one with the two trees on the tang stamp...
That is unusual!

Re: boker double tree?
And here is the same knife, made the same year, with a "regular" tang stamp (one tree).

Boker does tend to "re-use" old stamps. That's one of the things that makes them so interesting, challenging, and frustrating to research.
Nice knife anyways. I would think that doubletree tang stamp is unusual and possibly even rare someday on that particuar knife.

Re: boker double tree?
That is not a Double Tree, RBD is right, it is a limited 140th Anniversary knife.
The Double Trees were all made with embossed bolsters, 3 different handle materials, and serial numbered.
Thanks, Terry
