2005 Tang Stamp Series
Odd double-shield Boker, don't think I'd seen one of these posted yet. Curious as to how many were made & what patterns?

Re: 2005 Tang Stamp Series
Nice knife Jethro!
I thought I had seen that series before, but I had to chase it down. It appears there were twelve knife patterns in the series. They were done in three different handle materials: stag, green bone, and red bone.
Here's a thread with some of our early guesses...
http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... tang+stamp
To summarize, here's the pattern numbers, pattern style, and shield on each one:
200 - Canoe - 1907
280 - Whittler - 1848
493 - Barlow - 1907
495 - Razor Barlow - 1940
2525 - Trapper - 1848
2626 - Copperhead - 1887
70113 - Congress - 1900 Stepped Bolsters
5464 - Congress - 1887 Small
5474 - Congress - 1915 Large
7474 - Stockman - 1900 Round bolsters
9885 - Stockman - 1940 Square bolsters
???? - Swell center whittler - 1915
The last whittler is intriguing to me, because the only two Boker whittler patterns that I'm familiar with are the 280 and the 8313, above. This swell-center whittler I've never seen! Maybe a special pattern just for SMKW? If so, this one is the future rarity...

I have two of the swell-centred whittler with the 1915 shield. They are stag and green bone. The model number on the box is 666.

Thanks S-K!
Interesting choice for a pattern number. I have never seen one made by Boker before this. I wonder if that was an actual old Boker pattern from years past, or if it was made exclusively for SMKW? If for the latter, I wonder if they were trying to make a statement about SMKW?
