boker united....when?

when did boker first produce the united tanged knives? I'm looking at a red bone handled folding hunter same as thier usual 2020 model

I think they made United-Bokers up until the early 90's. Could be as late as '94, but the most recent I've seen with good provenance was 1991 IIRC. Now where did I put that picture?

[update] I just found this quote from needbucks in an older thread. He lists his source as Ritchie and Stewart's KNIFE COLLECTORS GUIDE. '84-'90 seems reasonable, since US production ceased in 1983 and our friends in Colorado revived the U.S. branch in the early 90's.

Funny how things happen in pairs. This same question was asked in another forum I visit.

United Cutlery, back in 1985, partnered with Boker of Germany to build knives for import. These were the United Bokers. They did into 1990.

Here's a picture I borrowed from the palmetto cutlery club website.
It is a United Boker from 1990. So they were definitely made until then.

Gunsmoke47 your right and at my age. If I have more than 4 knives on my desk top. I cant find the one I am looking for.

Perhaps thats why I like buying rather than selling....

I will let my son work for his money by selling. That will be more like me even after I am gone....
