Hey M-M,
Got this quote from TJT in another thread:
[update] I just found this quote from needbucks in an older thread. He lists his source as Ritchie and Stewart's KNIFE COLLECTORS GUIDE. '84-'90 seems reasonable, since US production ceased in 1983 and our friends in Colorado revived the U.S. branch in the early 90's.
Got this quote from TJT in another thread:
I think they made United-Bokers up until the early 90's. Could be as late as '94, but the most recent I've seen with good provenance was 1991 IIRC. Now where did I put that picture? The United Bokers are their own unique brand, and unfortunately, not affiliated with us. United Cutlery had, at one point, paid a fee to use
the Boker trademark. I have tried to find information, but since United shut down, I cannot find anything. I know most of them were late 70's/early 80's vintage, but that is about all
I know.

Funny how things happen in pairs. This same question was asked in another forum I visit.
United Cutlery, back in 1985, partnered with Boker of Germany to build knives for import. These were the United Bokers. They did into 1990.

Here's a picture I borrowed from the palmetto cutlery club website.
It is a United Boker from 1990. So they were definitely made until then. http://www.palmettocutleryclub.org

rangerbluedog Hello;
I was looking at your knife (and a beauty she is).
Then that long pull made me look for one of mine.
Here she is and looks so much like your she must be a sister.

Re: boker united....when?
Blue, Ken has lost more knives than you or me will ever have!

Re: boker united....when?
Gunsmoke47 your right and at my age. If I have more than 4 knives on my desk top. I cant find the one I am looking for.
Perhaps thats why I like buying rather than selling....
I will let my son work for his money by selling. That will be more like me even after I am gone....
