Here's something a bit different; a "little cigar", better known as a Case XX 62055 1/2, with Roger's bone handles!
Case didn't make too many knives with Roger's bone. I believe this is referred to as early Roger's. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

One more for today; an odd pattern, labeled 05247SP.
I think of it as a 2-blade stockman, with its stockman handle and a spey secondary. But I guess you can call it a pen, or a double end Jack?? It has a single backspring, with a catch bit for the spey blade, and I think the stag is Case's Red Stag. Again, correct me if I'm wrong!!

This 10-dot Daddy Barlow is one of a small limited run in jigged bone. You hardly ever see them!

I would say your right on both counts, Red Stag and a Double End Jack, if the secondary was a Pen I would say Pen knife, but what do I know

Are you going to try to make it to Blade next year, and if so are you bringing any of you beauties?

I am trying for Blade next year, 4ever3, but I'm not ready to sell the "top shelf" yet!
I may bring some traders, but flying with knives is worse than running with scissors!

Back to the positive; this knife just arrived from Florida (see the rust??)
Seriously, It's the first time I've seen one of these WWI Navy knives, that I can confidently say it FULL-bladed!
Mike Silvey tells the story of these so well in his book, I've scanned the appropriate pages. Everyone needs this book! See Pics!!

P.S. There is virtually no pocket or cutting wear on the knife. The blades have good snap before the half-stops, and thunderous snap to the open position; just like a good knife should!!!

Yes of course - same knife, Dimitri. It would be nice to see them side by side. The odd bone jig looks the same. I wonder where it was done?

Your blade is very full, though I think the spine "tip" is smoothed a bit. I think everyone who carried one took the corner off. I could feel mine poking me as I walked home with it in my pocket!! I think I'll leave it sharp though!

That Case Navy knife is the berries!!

As for the Bannerman picture, Francis Bannerman was quite showman and salesman. I have two of his original catalogs from the 20's and they are an AWESOME reference source. He was known to embellish things a bit. He sure had some neat old stuff in his day.
