Re: Show Off Your Kitchen Knives!
Found In The Bottom Of A Workbench Drawer…..
This Oldie But Goodie Has Been In My Family For More Years Than I’ve Existed.
Back In The Early 1980’s, I Found This In A Close Relative’s Workbench. I Have
No Intention Of Using It. It Is An I. WILSON (The John Wilson Company), Fixed
Blade, 9 3/4” Total Length, Blade Front Stamps, Wood Handles, 5 Handle Pins,
Butcher And Or Skinning Knife. The Blade Front Stamp Says, “I. WILSON” (over)
Two Maker Marks. The Handles Are Not In Good Condition At All. I Do Not Want
To Repair/Restore This Family Heirloom. I Want To Preserve This Old Knife In Its
Present, Well Used Condition.
Caption(s), if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).

It makes you wonder how many holes you need to hang it on a nail.

Re: Show Off Your Kitchen Knives!
Ray Taber helped me design this take on a smaller Santoku style utility knife.
Ray picked out the pattern for the pattern weld steel, which he makes in house.
The knife turned out great and handles well in prep tasks.

Really nice looking plate there, John boy, is that buffalo mozzarella? It is tough to find in small town midwest.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2026 3:31 pm Case XX The Early Americans 699-3¼ SSP paring knife for slicing up my Caprese salad lunch.![]()
That knife looks like it may have some years on it.

Re: Show Off Your Kitchen Knives!
It's just brined mozzarella, Ike. I don’t think the knife is too old, but well used. We love farm fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil with a little olive oil.Waukonda wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2026 1:38 amReally nice looking plate there, John boy, is that buffalo mozzarella?
