Some of you Remington collectors will probably know whether it’s authentic. But if not, what is it?

Found it today and after a little research, I’m not sure what it is. It’s a little over 3-3/8 inches but not quite 3-1/2. The stamps look okay, but I don’t see any pattern number (I noticed that when I bought it, but I’ve seen Remingtons without pattern numbers before.) Snappy with half-stops on both blades. I thought at first it is a R103CH, which my resources say is 3-1/2 inches. R23CH is 3-3/8 but has no cap bolster. But digging a little further, in an old Remington catalog reprint the pictures shown there of a R103CH show a different looking chain, and appears to maybe have a pinched bolster.
It’s a nice old knife but I’m not sure it’s what it represents itself to be.
