Another great old Bowie Pete! Never seen this mark before but internet shows they also made double shotguns and rifles.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Cogswell & Harrison ; London gunsmiths still in business after more than 200 years. Not sure how old this one is.

Pete, doglegg chose the right word. Your blade is truly awesome. May I ask if you are a resident of Great Britain?

I think that`s late 60s but might be missing the brass back on Top of the blade.

When you think about how old this knife is! 188- 195 years old ... It`s real thick and the handle has been redone but I love it.

Re: Anyone collect Bowies?
Okay gurus, I have to ask this: what does it take for a fixed blade to be considered a bowie? I don’t want to put something on this thread that isn’t correct. I know I have 2 bowies, well because they say Bowie on them.
Thanks
John
