Beautiful pics! Nice RR too. I really miss those sunsets with the Saguaro silhouettes black against the colorful sky. I miss the night sky out there too. Laying on a bedroll under the stars next to a small campfire looking at the sky is how I fell asleep on many occasions. You don't get those views of the night sky back here, too much ground clutter and smog.

Methane clouds. It's a defense mechanism. Release a large amount of methane which forms a cloud and distorts the light making focus impossible. Native Americans call it broken wind. It's also why people say we smell bad.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 2:03 amSas, I know you are especially elusive when you are stomping about in the woods,Sasquach wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 2:22 pmWell, the whole idea is to NOT be seen. Beautiful photography once again Q!!!
The Hawaiian back-drop is a photographers' playground. However, after a career in public works, I recognize a certain beauty in a well maintained gate valve too.

Nice pile of BMs JTX (pun intended).
Note: If you ever find that you have too many Benchmade knives I'd be more than happy to haul away any excess.

Is there ever such a thing as... too many Benchmades? Thanks for the offer though.

Your area does have more interesting landscapes than mine. Great photos of that Marbles.
Those old wire knives are very evocative of a bygone time. Nice photo!
Very cool shot.

Good to see that Marble's getting some pocket time, Q.
And your pictures (especially the second one with the great colors) are Fantastic!

George Schrade hit on the perfect econo-knife with the wire knife. They were all over the place back in the day and now you rarely see one.
