This summer, I picked up this 1933-46 Case knife ... best I can date it ... most of the info was found here on AAPK.
It did not have a sheath, so I made one.

Thanks for that! I have looked and looked without much of a result. I did stumble on his obituary (He passed in July 2023). But as far as anything more about his knife work, I got nothing. Obviously, this example speaks for itself.

I found little also. On Blade Forums, there is a post where his granddaughter and others that knew him or have knives he made, talked about his work.

Wow! Interesting! Something that really caught my attention, the was one person on there who posted in 2013, I think, that said they have two daggers of Ricks with ser.nos. 005 and 006, with matching leather sheaths. Wait a minute!?! The knife I just posted is ser.no. “006” and has a matching leather sheath, also stamped “006”. I have owned this knife since 2005, so I’m guessing it’s like someone else in that thread stated, the serial number only denotes the sequence number of that TYPE of knife, and may not be a unique number. Either way it appears it’s an earlier production piece than I thought - early 80s maybe? Wow - Curiouser and curiouser.

Glenn, that is what I like about this hobby/addiction ... is the rabbit trails we find. She's a Beauty ... easy to see why you are proud of it.

Did a revamp of this custom dagger. Did not care for the original handle. Made a D guard and added elk antler handle. Now a big Arkansas toothpick. Anyone know who the maker was? “N” with anvil mark. Blade is 12” long
