Caught these critters sneakin across the pasture yesterday about 0530. 4 young cows and a young bull.
To those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected ones will never know.

Re: Outdoorsman Thread
thank you Tony, I spend a lot of time outdoors and almost always have my phone and/or a camera with me. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, great photo opportunities abound here on Oak Island!Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 2:44 amSuperbly outstanding scenery and photos Tom!! yes sir, it’s the reason why it’s so grainy, I was a thinking man’s distance away when I spotted it and never approached; snapped a pic and left.

Thanks, John, Floyd, and Philip.
Yeah, TF, I've been seeing a few velvet antlers around. There was a slight depression in that field where this one was standing, so only his head was visible. It was a decent size, though it may not have been apparent. Just curious, with your rut being much later in L.A.
than here in the Midwest, when do they shed and get new growth?
