Caught these critters sneakin across the pasture yesterday about 0530. 4 young cows and a young bull.

thank you Tony, I spend a lot of time outdoors and almost always have my phone and/or a camera with me. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, great photo opportunities abound here on Oak Island! ::nod::

yes sir, it’s the reason why it’s so grainy, I was a thinking man’s distance away when I spotted it and never approached; snapped a pic and left.

Yeah, TF, I've been seeing a few velvet antlers around. There was a slight depression in that field where this one was standing, so only his head was visible. It was a decent size, though it may not have been apparent. Just curious, with your rut being much later in L.A. :lol: than here in the Midwest, when do they shed and get new growth?

That Buck in velvet with his head just above the wheat is an awesome shot! We don’t have wheat fields here so it’s something we would not see normally.
