Interesting Miller/Maher & Grosh
I bought this last week in Snow Hill, MD. I guess it's a Swell-center Stockman. The construction is a nickel-steel box channel that forms the outer liners and back with the back-springs inside, (pic.#2). It seems that style would be more expensive to build than standard construction. I've seen internal-spring knives before but this one just looks a cut above what I've seen. I'm assuming it's Miller Brothers from the screws.Like to see more if you have one. J.O'.

Great knife!! I have seen those before in wood, bone, and pearl. Regarding that type of consturction, Remington made their R100A stock knife like that (one-piece bolsters and liners) because it was LESS expensive as compared to convetional construction.

Don't think this is what you're speaking of. On this one, the liners and back are one channel and the bolsters are separate. Look closely at the 3rd and 4th pics.
Thanks Red, J.O'.

Maher and Grosh "Colorado Stockham".So called surveyors pattern.Came in different handles materials, bone, pearl, ebony and a couple different celluloids. Also came in a moose.
They carried that pattern in their catalog for close to 50 years. After Miller Brothers went out of business, I believe Ulster made them for M&G.
