Tuna Valley Picture Show
Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
That handle looks positively toxic, Carl, kinda like the lime green Jell-O my mom used to bring to every 4th of July picnic when I was a kid that we jokingly called jellied anti-freeze!

But, childhood gastronomic nightmares notwithstanding, I truly believe it would be impossible to make a Phoenix Jack look unappetizing to me and that one is no exception. If it also glows in the dark I absolutely must have one!!!

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
heh it does kind of look like antifreeze. It doesn't glow in the dark (I had to go test it to make sure). But they did release a cotton sampler, and a farmer's jack with these handles on them under the Titusville brand. I like em, pretty eye catching.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 12:44 amThat handle looks positively toxic, Carl, kinda like the lime green Jell-O my mom used to bring to every 4th of July picnic when I was a kid that we jokingly called jellied anti-freeze!![]()

Another one I haven't shown here before. The Phoenix Jack pattern, a prototype with burnt American Elk antler handles. It actual does have a similar appearance to sambar stag.

Another Great one, Carl!

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
Yeah I can for sure do that. I need to get them all out to oil, I should do a group picture.

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
I thought i would post another one I haven't shown here yet. This is another prototype Old Man Norman pattern in the Portal Fluid acrylic handles. These handles were used on some of the Titusville Cutlery knives, but not on any Tuna Valley brand ones.

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
I brought out my Tuna Valley mammoth knives today for a group shot. These are all the mammoth ivory bark, crosscut mammoth ivory, and mammoth tooth handled knives I have (as of Jan 25, 2025). I never realized, but there is lots of variety in color when you can see them all together.

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
I also got a nice group shot of all my buffalo horn handled Tuna Valley knives as well.

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
Since all the knives have been out lately getting oiled, it was time to finally assemble the full batch of Phoenix Jacks for a group photo. This is nearly all of them. (There are a few I'm not allowed to show).

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
Sorry I've neglected this thread for a bit. Life got really busy, but I do have a few more knives to show here that I haven't shown yet. This is an Old Man Jack in bolsterless shadow pattern, with Magic Potion acrylic handles.

I haven't been on as much as I would like either, but have been missing your posts when I do check in on this thread... On the positive side, your previous post of that Awesome Phoenix Jack collection gave us something to drool over for the past couple of months.

I really missed seeing Ryan at the SVKCC show, but my wallet is probably happier.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Yeah he wanted to be there. I believe his dad is having some health problems and Ryan is the primary one helping him through everything.1967redrider wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 3:01 am I really missed seeing Ryan at the SVKCC show, but my wallet is probably happier.![]()

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
Another cool one to show off. This is the Old Man Norman barlow, prototype made with easy-open cutout, in cocobolo wood.

Re: Tuna Valley Picture Show
Another knife to show in this thread, a prototype barlow with buffalo horn. This one is a bit different than the other already shown, it has the arrow stamp in the bolster.
